Videophone must be taken out of the box, mounted and connected. Set-up is super easy! Watch this video.
Who will set up the Videophone in the home of the user, and inform Konnekt for final activation (if required) and verification?
See the Konnekt Quick Start Guide or watch this video.
The Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) and the Wi-Fi password are usually printed on the rear or base of the modem/router.
Be careful with upper case and lower case letters, space characters and hyphens, the digits 0 and 1, and the letters o, i and L. Alternatively, send a photograph of the Wi-Fi credentials to Konnekt.
Place Videophone on a low side table or coffee table (height: 40 cm to 70 cm).
Konnekt will supply adhesive clamps to stick the Videophone kickstand onto the table surface.
See our desktop mounting guide.
Videophone can be mounted to a wall, desk or table using a customer-supplied bracket.
Use a monitor arm or bracket with a VESA-100 (100 mm x 100 mm) mounting-hole pattern.
See our accessories page for more pictures and suggestions.
Konnekt can supply 2 wireless access buttons at additional cost. This is useful if either the Videophone user would be unable to reach or use the Videophone touchscreen, or if the user is confined to a bed or chair.
When the 75 mm (3 inch) wireless access button is pushed, an incoming call will be answered or an outgoing call will be initiated.
The screen saver hides the Videophone screen (makes it go black) after some period of inactivity. Videophone can be activated by touching the screen anywhere, or whenever there is an incoming call.
The Overnight mode is useful if the Videophone user sleeps in the same room as the Videophone, and the screen saver is not desired. The screen will stay on during the day. During the night, the screen will be black.
For Japan: Konnekt will supply a 3-pin power lead and an adapter for a 2-pin Japanese power outlet.
The Konnekt Videophone will work with Japan’s voltage (100 volts AC) and frequency (50 or 60 Hz).
The Videophone includes software to eliminate screen flicker caused by some types of lighting.
The Videophone will be connected to:
Konnekt recommends that the Videophone remain powered on all the time and never powered off, so that it is always available.
After a power outage, the Videophone will restart without user intervention.
The power button on the left side of the Videophone can be disabled. This helps prevent the user or a cleaner from powering off the Videophone inadvertently.
Note that volume can be changed later, at any time, without anyone needing to visit. Simply ask Konnekt.
